What information we collect, use, and why
We are collecting non-personal information to understand more about the experience both visitors and traders are having at the food festival. This helps our partner Portsmouth City Council ensure the event they are offering is relevant and successful. Data cannot be used to identify respondents and is only used for example to bring comments to life in the post-event summary of our findings.
We collect or use the following personal information for dealing with queries and complaints from traders:

- Occupation

Our lawful bases for the collection and use of your data
Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information for dealing with queries, complaints or claims are:
- Legitimate interests – we’re collecting or using your information because it benefits you, our organisation or someone else, without causing an undue risk of harm to anyone. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to portability. Our legitimate interests are:
- Processing of first names and occupation is both legitimate and necessary for Portsmouth City Council (PCC) to action any dissatisfaction highlighted by trader feedback collected by Evosa at the 2025 Southsea Food Festival. By knowing which trader raised dissatisfaction, and which team member within that organisation provided the feedback, PCC can find out more and remedy the situation. Risks are limited by not collecting the respondent’s full name and access to results being secured by specific permissions for selected Evosa and PCC staff only.
